The “Infectum” aspect, refers to the immanent time of the action, it was one of the fundamental semantic-grammatical categories, on which the conjugation of the Latin verb rested. Infectum refers to an action whose time has not fully expired. This piece explores the scientific microcinematographic images that the 16 mm film format allows when intervened using pictorial techniques.

DANIEL VALDEZ PUERTOS
Daniel (CDMX 1984) studied Language and HispanicLiteratures, UNAM. He is currently a doctoral student in the postgraduate course in Art History at UNAM. His line of research is experimental cinema in Mexico. As an audiovisual artist, he has presented his work in Mexico at Museo del Chopo, Centro de Cultura Digital, Cineteca Nacional, Centro Cultural Universitario, as well as in Latin America and Europe. He was a FONCA fellow, Young Creators, 2017, in the discipline of video.
