MeM#7 —21) Solitary Globular Habit

MeM#7 —21) Solitary Globular Habit (Moriya Matityahu & Elya Kohn. Israel.) 8:38 min. from Movimiento en Movimiento on Vimeo.

(THIS IS AN EXCERPT OF THE FILM)

“Solitary globular habit” is a growth habit of certain types of cactus, but could as well describe the contemporary form of human life habit. While constantly distinguishing, defining, marking limits and territories, fearing and fighting whoever is on the other side of the line we’ve just drawn, we condemn ourselves and everyone else to complete solitude. The borders, which became part of our flesh like the thorns of a cactus, are now Solitary globular h Still002all that is left. We are reduced to a closed shape line.
