Hemisferios perdidos (Yolanda M. Guadarrama. México.) 5:30 min.
By playing with deconstruction and new motion chains, this short film suggests that the functions of the left and right brain hemispheres are not always fully linked. The text: “Memories shouldn’t last more than three or four days” is one of the phrases that shapes the sound skeleton of the short film. Around this sound basis, a story of unwanted memories is developed. The phrases are excerpts from Guillermo Fadanelli’s book: See You at Breakfast?

Mexican creator and curator of screendance. Yolanda started dancing in 1985 and doing choreographies in 1990. In 2007 she initiated her production in screendance.
She has collaborated to give birth to 3 international screendance festivals: MOTION, Berlin, 2008. MOVIMIENTO EN MOVIMIENTO, Mexico, 2013-2016. RIFF, Norway, 2015-2016.
She has done 10 screendance pieces, some of them have been part of the official selection in some festivals around the world.
