Objects in mirror are closer than they appear (Jukka Rajala Granstubb and Abraham Lezama. Finlandia, Mexico.) 15 min.
This film is a portrait, in documentary style, about the life of a native dancer from Reynosa, Tamaulipas: one of the most insecure cities of the Mexican Republic, which has drugs traffic bands in dispute on its streets. Everything is out of place, and yet in the right place: A Mexican Flamenco dancer is shown through the eyes of a Finnish filmmaker who tells the story of solitude of this Mexican character, which resembles the story of solitude of the city where he was born. Might it be an escape route out of the gross reality of a place that is impossible to hide away?
